Homes.com Experienced Record Breaking Year in 2010

If you ask anyone, they’ll tell you that 2010 was a shaky year for real estate. Despite that, Homes.com saw a record breaking year with over 66 million people visiting the site. There are many accomplishments that helped contributed to this noteworthy year such as the Q&A Community, launch of the NEW Homes.com website and mobile initiatives.

Homes.com’s new Questions and Answers Community is where people actively searching for their next home or selling their current home can connect with local real estate agents for advice. Since its launch in June 2010, this new feature generated over 10,000 questions, providing home seekers a host of opportunities to connect with real estate professionals in their local area, with no commitment.

Homes.com also made major improvements to its overall design and listing search process, reducing the average search time and providing home buyers and renters an expedient, yet content-rich, method to find their next home. Proving that these improvements helped, searches for homes increased by 54 percent from the previous year, with an average of 9 million searches made each month in 2010. In addition, Homes.com expanded its listing inventory to include rentals, powered by ForRent.com, to establish us as a one-stop resource for all your home search needs.

Taking the lead in mobile real estate marketing, Homes.com was the first real estate search Web site to reach all mobile consumers through its suite of mobile apps.  Included are iPhone™, Android, and BlackBerry® platforms, along with a Web site optimized for other mobile handsets. Reaching home searchers on the go, Homes.com’s mobile Web site saw 60 million page views in 2010!

We strive to make our site as useful to home buyers and sellers as possible, and we expect 2011 to be an even better year as we make significant technological enhancements and continue expanding the Homes.com network.
