Actor Simon Helberg, ultra-nerd aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory, upgraded from his Craftsman-style cottage in Los Angeles (hopefully it wasn’t with his mother), to Charlie Sheen’s Mediterranean mansion. It’s hard to see who’s “winning” here, Sheen made out with selling for a whopping $200,000profit, but Helberg scored a pretty nice piece of real estate. How nice you ask?

Well, Sheen the former Two and a Half Men star had a pretty nice house that he purchased with then-wife Brooke Mueller in 2007 for $2.575 million. Helberg reportedly purchased this pad for a cool $2.9 million this month. Built in 1927, the manor is just under 4,200-square-feet and features a restored interior with Bouquet Canyon stone flooring, capacious living room with trestle-style vaulted ceilings, formal dining room and a generous master suite. The home blends Mediterranean and Southwestern styles and has an oversized backyard and pool. We’re sure neighbors of the Los Feliz home are celebrating with scotch!

We love Helberg’s new digs and hope his fellow Big Bang Theory cast mates Bernadette, Rajesh, Leonard, Sheldon and Penny will be throwing him a housewarming party real soon! (An invite can be sent my way!)
