Now many of us would be perfectly happy with the “before” model, but look at the difference some white paint (and a new backsplash) make to the overall feel of this kitchen!
And here is another example of the power of paint by The Handmade Home. Ashley’s kitchen was fairly new when they moved in, but it just didn’t feel like home. In order to make the place her own, Ashley and her husband painted all of the cabinets white and covered the backsplash with beadboard to create a much lighter and brighter after!

But what if you are renting and unable to paint your cabinets? Wherever there is a will there is a way! Erin from the blog Rare and Beautiful Treasures moved into a rental with a very outdated kitchen. Here is what it looked like before:
