Like many people, one of my New Year’s resolutions is to get more organized.  So let’s step into the New Year with shoe storage.  Sorry for the corniness but I had to.

Get your shoes off the floor with an over-the-door shoe organizer.  These are great for utilizing otherwise unused space on the back of a closet door.

Got kids?

Give each kiddo a bucket to store their shoes. This would be an easy and inexpensive weekend DIY project. Grab an old bookcase from a thrift shop and paint it a bright color. Get some large buckets, print off some fun labels, and attach them to the buckets. And voila– easy, organized shoe storage!

The Ikea Hemnes shoe cabinet is perfect for storing shoes and keeping them out of sight. This eleven inch deep shoe cabinet is great for small entryways or mudrooms.

Put your shoes on display in an antique china cabinet.  While it’s not entirely practical, it’s a fun and interesting idea.
