Chris from Celebrations At Home’s recipe for blue cheese jalapeno poppers is a must-try finger food to incorporate into your home moments. Opting to use blue cheese instead of cheddar, she transformed the traditional jalapeno into a delicious appetizer that is sure to be a hit at any party or celebration in your house or apartment.
Blue Cheese Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients
- 4 oz room temperature cream cheese
- 4 oz crumbled blue cheese
- 6 jalapeño peppers
- 12 slices of center cut bacon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cut jalapeño peppers in half (lengthwise). Remove seeds and membrane.
- Combine cream cheese and blue cheese in a small bowl. Mix well. Fill each pepper half with the mixture.
- Wrap a slice of center cut bacon around each filled half and secure with a toothpick. Leave on broiler rack with pan underneath to drain bacon drippings.
- Cook 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is fully cooked.
For a firm bite on your peppers and crispy bacon outside, Chris recommends pre-cooking the bacon slightly before wrapping the peppers. Try it her way by cooking the poppers covered with aluminum foil for 10 minutes and another 10-15 minutes without.
