Former Tennis Star Monica Seles Sells Florida Mansion

Monica Seles, known for her 1990 French Open triumph over fellow tennis player Steffi Graf, is saying goodbye to her Sarasota, Florida home. It has been rumored that Seles is serving up the luxurious estate for an amount just shy of 1.85 million.

Seles’ ace spread sits behind double gates within the confines of the esteemed Laurel Oak Country Club, an exclusive members-only golf community. The 5,800 square foot floor plan comes complete with 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths and one half bath.

Throughout the house lies lavish marble flooring, delicate panel molding and Palladian style windows, fit for royalty. A grand living room sets the stage for a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast nook area, fully equipped with the latest professional-grade appliances.

Upstairs in the master suite, there is a private sitting area along with a sauna perfect for rest and relaxation.

Outside, a two-story lanai expands over a patio space with an outdoor kitchen, a large pool and a spa. The luxurious home of a former tennis starlet is nowhere near complete without — you guessed it — a full tennis court in the backyard! Not a tennis player? No worries! The backyard also houses a basketball court and detached exercise room with a spa. There’s also enough land to build a second tennis court, should the next homeowner choose to do so.

As a former tennis player and fanatic, I could definitely see myself taking full advantage of the numerous luxuries that this home has, especially the hard surface tennis court in the backyard. The outdoor kitchen, exercise room, pool and spa are ideal for the perfect family cookout. What is your favorite part of the house?
