Drew Barrymore is Selling Her California Home

Drew Barrymore is known for The Wedding Singer (1998), Never Been Kissed (1999), Donnie Darko (2001), 50 First Dates ( 2004), among many other romantic comedies. This actress, film director, screenwriter, producer, and model started her career at 11 months old with a commercial. Born into a legendary family thanks to Grandfather John Barrymore, Drew started her career as a child actress with Altered States (1980) and Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982).

With a baby on the way, Drew Barrymore married her third husband in June 2012 in the backyard of her lovely Montecito, California home. What was known as a simple traditional Jewish backyard wedding included invites for Reese Witherspoon, Busy Phillips, Cameron Diaz, Jimmy Fallon, among others. Drew Barrymore, now wedded, has left the single life behind, but this isn’t the only thing she said goodbye to. This ‘Charlie’s Angel’ is saying farewell to her wedding venue home in Montecito, California. The home was originally on the market for $7.5 million, but with an eagerness to sell, Drew Barrymore dropped the selling price by 8% to $6.9 million.

This home was originally built in 1937 and holds 2 acres of secluded grounds. The classic home includes 6 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, large sunroom, a separate guest house, and a walking path that journeys into beautiful gardens full of citrus and avocado trees. The backyard is more than enough room for a wedding with foliage that creates a one of a kind setting.

Drew Barrymore may have found another home for her family but this home is definitely family friendly with lots of outdoor space to enjoy summer months. Would your family enjoy living in this home?
