These tabletop sheet music Christmas trees are perfect for a dining table centerpiece, an accent on a buffet table, or decoration on a book shelf. I used sheet music because music is such a big part of the holidays, and it can be incorporated into almost any decorating style.

You can use a couple in different heights or create a whole forest to line down the center of the table.

Supplies:

  • Foam craft cones
  • Vintage sheet music or scrapbook paper.
  • Scissors
  • Straight pins
  • Small ball ornaments – remove the hanger from the top

Cut sheet music into several strips, about 4 inches wide. Lay the strips on top of one another and cut small slits down one side. Separate the strips and curl the fringed edges. I used a pencil and rolled the edges up over it to get the effect I wanted.

Starting at the bottom of the cone, wrap 1 strip around the foam and secure it using the straight pins. You will need to double up in the back since the edges will not meet at the widest point.

Continue adding strips, overlapping the lower level each time.

Add a small ball ornament to the top of the cone. The edge where the hanger has been removed will dig into the foam and stay secure.
