Spring Cleaning in a Snap

Spring is here, and everyone is looking forward to beautiful weather, blooming flowers and longer days. But what does everyone dread the most about spring? Spring cleaning of course. It’s no wonder we desire to push it off; who wants to do those daunting chores? Even if your home feels refreshed and clean afterwards, the process of getting it to that point is often procrastinated.

Delay no more. We can provide you with a few ideas to get your home looking spotless in a snap. We don’t promise it won’t take some elbow grease, but the rewards will definitely be worth it. And it’ll last for awhile.

  • Wash all linens.

This includes all bed linens, bath towels and mats, throw blankets and curtains!

  • Vacuum and steam clean the carpet.

You can have this done professionally or rent a machine. Vacuuming will get all the loose deposits, and a steam clean will reach stains penetrated in the carpet. Or another option is using a powder carpet cleaner.

  • Flip all sofa cushions and pillows, as well as mattresses.

Don’t forget to vacuum and clean under the cushions.

  • Do a thorough scrub down of the kitchen.

This would include wiping down all cabinets; floor surfaces and reorganize pantry/refrigerator (get rid of expired food).  If you feel like going further, reseal your grout lines (if you have tile) to help eliminate stains.

  • Dust throughout the house.

This includes removing books from shelves and dusting them as well as the book case, tops of ceiling fans, crown molding, photo frames, television stand, coffee tables, dressers, etc. And always work from the top of a room down!

Don’t postpone it too long. You don’t want to be stuck inside on a lovely weekend, and those days are approaching fast!
