How to Organize a Bathroom Like a Pro

The bathroom is one of the most frequently used spaces in your home, so it stands to reason that you’d need it to be one of the most organized. Think about all the time you’d save if the items you use daily were organized and easily accessible to you. Here are a few cost-effective and stylish storage ideas to help make bathroom organization possible:

bathroom

Assign a purpose

If you’re like me, storage in the bathroom is crucial. If you don’t have a linen closet and the extra storage space that provides, then space in the bathroom is even more precious. Assign a cabinet or dresser to organize towels, cleaning gear and extra supplies. To go the extra mile, you can get baskets and labels for easy reference to items stored there.

Easy access

Use the convenience of a medicine cabinet to store the items you use daily, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brush/comb, etc. If you have medications that you don’t use frequently, store them some place else to make room for necessary items.

Innovative places

Think about places within your bathroom that can be used as storage. I recently saw a storage solution in which the back of the bathroom door not only had hooks and a towel bar installed, but was also covered in magnetic paint which allowed magnetic containers to adhere to the surface, holding rubber bands, cotton swabs and more. What a neat concept!

Minimalistic countertop

In my house the countertop in the bathroom only has 1 to 2 items on it. If I’ve done my job correctly and found a home for every bathroom item, there isn’t a need to have access items on the counter. This also makes it easy to tidy up.

As I go through my bathroom remodel, I am consciously aware that additional storage is essential. But there is that old saying “You can never have enough storage.” So I need to make sure I am optimally organized as well.
