Though often used for dinner meals, did you know you can use a crockpot to make breakfast as well? That’s right; just do the prep work before bedtime and wake up to a delicious and hearty meal, ready for you and your family to eat!
The beauty of this dish is that you can customize the ingredients to your liking:
- 1 lb ham, bacon or sausage; cooked and diced
- 1 small diced onion
- 16 oz. hash browns, frozen
- 3/4 cup cheese, shredded
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup 2% milk
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Lightly grease or line your crock pot.
- Layer the frozen hash browns, meat of choice, onion, and cheese in that order and repeat.
- Beat the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Add this mixture over the layered ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
