Pecan Pie Remix Recipes

Did you know that July 12 is National Pecan Pie Day? It would be rude, frankly, to not celebrate this great day. And celebrate we will, with pecan pie remixes involving ice cream, brownies and brie cheese!

Pecan Pie Ice Cream

This is a simple treat that can’t be beat (rhyme not intentional). Pairing creamy vanilla ice cream with glazed pecans and caramel sauce makes for a decadent dessert that’s a yummy reminder of pecan pie!

ice-cream

Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup (or generous handful) or glazed pecans
  • Caramel sauce

DIRECTIONS:

In a small martini glass or cocktail glass, start by putting glazed pecans at the bottom. Top with 2 scoops of ice cream, and layer more pecans on top. Finish off with a generous drizzle of caramel sauce. Yum!

Pecan Pie Brownies

These brownies can be store bought or homemade, just whatever you have time for! If you go the store bought route, get the fudged icing kind – a little extra fudge never hurt anybody! Simply top the brownies with glazed pecans and drizzle with caramel icing for a delectable dessert that takes almost no time at all!

Pecan Pie Baked Brie

Baked Brie is a party staple! By adding pecans and sweet caramel sauce we are taking it up notch!
Serves 8-10

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 crescent roll
  • 1 brie wheel
  • 1/4 cup pecans
  • 1 egg
  • Caramel sauce

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat Oven to 350. Unroll crescent rolls and make 2 squares. Lay first square down flat on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.

Place the brie wheel in the middle of the crescent square. Top the wheel with pecans and drizzle of caramel sauce. Top with remaining crescent square, folding up corners of bottom square and pinching dough together so there are no holes.

Beat egg and brush onto outside of dough. Bake for 20-22 minutes. Serve with crackers and drizzle additional caramel sauce on brie wedges.
