But since I know not everyone has small craft or sewing supplies to store, I thought I’d share some other ideas of how you could put jars to use in your home.

If your house is anything like mine, loose change is always a problem. Keep an organization jar in the spot where you or your partner tend to set down your coins. Maybe even keep a change jar in the laundry for those rogue coins you find in pants pockets.

Add some character to your bathroom by storing cotton swabs or cotton balls in jars.

Dog treats look better in an organization jar than in the box or bag they came in, don’t you think?

Here are some other things you could store in jars:

Extra paint for touch-ups ā€¢ clothespins ā€¢ safety pins ā€¢ sewing supplies ā€¢ makeup sponges ā€¢ nails ā€¢ crayons ā€¢ tealight candles ā€¢ flatware ā€¢ matches ā€¢ cupcake liners ā€¢ pencils ā€¢ pens ā€¢ markers ā€¢ cake decorating tips ā€¢ candy ā€¢ baking/cooking ingredients ā€¢ golf tees ā€¢ yarn ā€¢ costume jewelry ā€¢ makeup brushes ā€¢ homemade laundry detergent ā€¢ pushpins

Really, the list is endless. And remember, jars come in all shapes and sizes, so you’re not limited to storing only small items in organization jars. Consider larger items, such as spaghetti, pasta, and grains, and other items in bulk. For more organizational tips for your home, check out the organization category.
